Robert Netzer demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Eastern Hemisphere Player of the Week Award.
The Sydney left fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .481 average (13-27) with 4 home runs and 14 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
So far in 2028 Netzer is batting .337 with 22 home runs, 108 RBIs and 127 runs scored. He has 198 hits in 588 at-bats and a .386 OBP.

One of the league's most exciting young players, Robert Netzer of the Sydney Sharks earned himself Eastern Hemisphere Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.
For the week the 25-year-old left fielder had a lofty .500 average (13-26), collecting 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
So far this season Netzer has gotten 145 hits in 419 at-bats for a .346 batting average with 15 home runs. His stats include 76 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He has played in 96 games.

| Sunday, July 23rd, 2028: Netzer Batters Lagos Big Time
Robert Netzer was on fire today and sparked his club to a 7-3 victory over the White Horses. The Sydney left fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 7 against Lagos in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in."
R. Netzer singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a two-run double in the 12th.
Currently Netzer is hitting .346 and has collected 15 home runs, 76 RBIs and scored 91 times, while playing in 96 games.
