Breaking News Monday, October 2nd, 2028: Arihyoshi Signs for 2 years Fans hailed the signing of Shimei Arihyoshi today as the Tokyo Samurai shortstop came to terms with the club. Set to make $10,860,000 over the upcoming 2 years, Arihyoshi signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency. Almost to a man, the Tokyo Samurai said he had them guessing wrong all game long. This season Fink has fanned 179 in 201.2 innings and collected a 8-12 record with a 3.48 ERA. Tuesday, August 29th, 2028: Tokyo's Byon Will Miss Season The doctors have spoken and Hyon-Kon Byon of the Tokyo Samurai didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Byon sustained his season-ending injury during the Unified Korea Chaebol game yesterday at Sony Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tokyo medical staff reported Byon had a ruptured disc and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
