Sunday, September 17th, 2028: Crespo Torches Eagles for 5 Hits
Herman Crespo of the Heat was unstoppable in today's 14-6 victory over the Shanghai Eagles at Meditterranean Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Casablanca shortstop after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."

H. Crespo hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Presently Crespo is batting .253 with 6 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 107 games and scored 50 times.

Sunday, September 17th, 2028: Azzouzi 5-5 for Heat
It was a big day with the bat for Tiljad Azzouzi of the Casablanca Heat at Meditterranean Park as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Shanghai 14-6.

To the press after the ballgame he modestly said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story."

At the end of the game Azzouzi had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Heat had won.

The beat writers were happy, too. They had their big story -- they could write about his big day with the bat.

T. Azzouzi hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off L. Renteria in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

Azzouzi has collected 118 hits for the Heat this year, 17 of them home runs. He has also netted 74 RBIs and scored 73 runs while batting .290.

Friday, September 1st, 2028: EH Selects Rookie Star of the Month
Thulani Coha was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 24-year-old center fielder definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen August's Eastern Hemisphere Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting.

In 28 games Coha batted .291 for Casablanca, slapping 32 hits in 110 at-bats with 6 home runs, drove in 19 runs and scored 16 times.

This season Coha is swinging the bat at a .262 rate with 130 hits in 496 at-bats. To date he has hit 20 home runs, scored 93 runs and driven in 77.
