Guadalajara's Ahexotl Popopoyotl has mixed feelings about a possible trade. The 32-year-old left fielder, when reached for comment on recent trade rumors, replied, "I've made some good friends here. I'm not sure I'm ready to leave."

 | Wednesday, September 6th, 2028: Huggins Hits in 30 Consecutive Games
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
David Huggins did it again. He bashed 2 hits in today's game and for the last 30 games in a row has collected at least one hit. The 25-year-old New York second baseman extended his streak as the Pride beat the Guadalajara Conquistadors 4-1 at Twin Towers Memorial Field.
D. Huggins grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far this season in 89 games Huggins is batting .352 with 14 home runs, 56 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He has 125 hits in 355 at-bats.

 | Thursday, August 24th, 2028: League Punishes Pair for Fighting
The league commissioner's office had responded quickly to yesterday's major incident at McDonald's Field involving the Blues Juergen Roche and the Conquistadors John Brooks. Both players have been given 5-game suspensions for violation of the league code of conduct. The suspensions will be effective immediately.
So far this season Roche has gotten 123 hits in 472 at-bats for a .261 batting average with 15 home runs. His stats include 50 RBIs and 92 runs scored. He has played in 122 games.
So far this season, in 59 relief appearances Brooks has compiled an ERA of 3.86. He has pitched 84 innings, struck out 77, walked 23 and registered 3 saves.
