| Breaking News |  | Saturday, November 4th, 2028: New York Reliever Takes ACE Pitching Award This season a relief specialist took top pitching honors in the Western Hemisphere. The top votegetter for the 2028 ACE Pitching Award was Julio Sanchez of the New York Pride, who finished the year with 42 saves in 45 save opportunities.
He had 3 wins and 2 losses with a 1.52 ERA. Sanchez hurled 59.1 innings and totaled 62 strikeouts. |  | Thursday, September 28th, 2028: Rueb Pitches Gem against Los Angeles "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus. He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."
And that's what Clair Rueb did as he led the Pride to a 7-0 shutout victory over the Superstars.
"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Los Angeles manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."
Rueb yielded 4 hits and had 9 strikeouts and no walks in a standout performance.
