| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 21st, 2028: Myers Hitless, Stopped by Bandits
Chicago catcher Cecil Myers experienced something against the Bogota Bandits he hadn't experienced in his last 21 games: a hitless game. The Bandits pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Blues to a 4-2 victory at McDonald's Field.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 21-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Myers kiddingly told them after the game.
So far this year Myers is batting .302 with 25 home runs.

| Saturday, August 19th, 2028: Myers Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games
Cecil Myers continues to hit at a blistering pace. For 20 straight games he has had at least one hit. Myers did it again today with 1 hit in the Chicago triumph over Bogota. The Blues defeated the Bandits 5-1 at McDonald's Field.
C. Myers flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Myers has 25 home runs and a .305 batting average.

 | Wednesday, August 16th, 2028: Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Huggins
David Huggins's hitting string continues. The 25-year-old New York second baseman upped it to 20 games today with 3 hits in the Pride 12-0 win over the Bogota Bandits at Twin Towers Memorial Field.
D. Huggins singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off T. Zamorano in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.
So far this year in 79 games Huggins is hitting .335 with 12 home runs, 53 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
